EDWIN VAN DER SAR was invincible again as Manchester United set a new Premier League shut-out record.
They have kept 11 clean sheets on the bounce and the Dutch keeper has gone 1,032 minutes without conceding.
Van der Sar has eclipsed the previous best shut-out time of 1,025 minutes, set by Petr Cech in 2004-05.
Van der sar's statment (Bold quotes)
Edwin van der Sar admitted to having one eye on the clock during the latter stages of United’s five-star display against West Brom after helping the Reds create history.
The Dutch goalkeeper needed to keep the Baggies at bay for at least 84 minutes in order to better Petr Cech’s record of 1,025 minutes without conceding a goal.
“It feels terrific,” he exclusively told MUTV. “I was watching the minutes tick away towards the end and even though you’re a few goals up you still feel very nervous. When I saw the clock reach 85 minutes I started to get a good feeling.
“It’s been some performance from all the defenders who have played in those eleven games especially when you consider we didn’t have a settled back four during those matches.
“We've had a lot of changes to deal with [because of injuries] and a lot of players have contributed to the achievement. The fact that everyone has come in and done a job shows the strength of the squad.
